About
Michelle is a Toronto-area based artist who paints colourful and texture-rich scenes using simply her finger tips. Having started with brushes, she noticed that using her fingers as a tool empowered her to move the paint differently — to evoke excitement and emotion as the pigments collide and swirl into each other. Michelle realized she had strayed into her own style and soon abandoned the brushes to explore the technique she had come to embrace. She is primarily self-taught, and continually takes workshops and lessons with artists.
“I feel as though I am right there in the scene when I paint
with my fingers…it’s a combination of sculpting and painting.”
